I watched this film a month ago and I’ve thought about it almost every day since. I planned on writing more about it, to explain why I loved it so much, and why I think you will too. But I can’t. I’ve been writing and deleting words for the last hour, and I’m still no closer to writing anything of value. I know it's a cop out, but I think it’s one of those films you just have to watch — and experience — for yourself.
If you have an interest in Nick Cave and his music you should watch this film. If you have an interest in creativity, and humanity, and life in general then you should definitely watch this film. I wrote down pages of quotes from 20,000 Days. So I drew one of my favourites, which also happens to encapsulate the film perfectly. 20,000 Days on Earth exists in that shimmering space — between imagination and reality — where all love, and tears, and joy exist.
